Dear All
I’m a beginner of FIX Protocol, just a general question about FIX. I always heard ppl from different back have to setup 1 way or 2 way FIX connection to each other, so what is the difference between 1 way or 2 way in FIX connection?
Many Thanks
Jack
1 way fix means that order will be loaded manually by sales trader/ trader and client will receive execution for this order electronically via FIX
2 way fix -. client sends oder through FIX and receives execution through Fix

Jack,
One way order flow could be a drop copy session, this is where executions reports are sent to a back office - no reply is sent.
Two way order flow is where you expect a response, i.e. you send an order and you would expect to receive an acknowledgement.
