Job Description
· Support of trading channels across equity, futures, options, FX platforms
· Provide technical, trading and sales support to clients and internal business units on electronic trading platforms
· Act as pivotal, first point of contact for all issues - trade, messaging or IT related. Face-off to client Traders/IT staff
· Monitor system health, performance and functional behaviour
· Extensive interaction with clients for transitioning them onto various electronic trading platforms
· Coordination across multiple business units and trading desks
· Analyse issues for patterns, trends - develop plans to continually improve
· Coordination of tasks/projects with technology development team
· Gather and communicate information from exchanges
Job Requirements
· Understanding of European Exchanges, their functionality and rules
· Strong knowledge of trading/brokerage business
· Understanding of common institutional trading practices, especially in conjunction with connectivity and electronic trading
· Working knowledge of European securities markets and structure
· Strong knowledge and practical experience with FIX protocol
· Extremely proactive and attentive to business-critical issues
· Strong written and verbal communications capabilities
· Interpersonal skills - able to deal in an resonsive, informed, professional and calm way with traders internally and at client and IT staff internally at client and at vendors.
· Eventual registration with market regulatory bodies - registered rep exams
