AllocInstrctnAck doesn't contain TransTyp tag

Hi FIX Community,

I wanted to know why AllocInstrctnAck (P message) doesn’t contain the TransTyp tag ( AllocTransType 71) unlike the TrdCaptRptAck (AR message) which does contain the TransTyp tag ( TradeReportTransType 487)?
Is there a reason why it’s not part of P message ? Is it planned to have it in the future ?

The AllocationInstructionAck§ is a response msg to the AllocationInstruction(J) message. When it was designed back in FIX 2.7 I suspect it was determined that the P msg itself does not need to echo back the AllocTransType field from the J msg.

Since you’re asking, why do you think it is needed in the P msg?
