Title: Application Support Specialist for Program Trading & FIX Connectivity
Client: Major International Financial Company, Voted #1 Working environment

DESCRIPTION/ REQUIREMENTS:
Major International Financial company in New York City, seeks an application support specialist to assist Program Trading with all new Trading and FIX connectivity situations.

The focus will be trading equities- including NYFIX, Lava, Autex, FIX Gateway (Raptor, ttConnect, Proprietary, etc.), FIX Electronic Orders, Reuters+, Bloomberg.

-You will work with operations on identifying and resolving trade breaks

-You will work with the traders on identifying and resolving trading issues, which include block trade entry, DOT order routing, FIX electronic orders, position keeping, commission calculation and P&L

-You will liaise with the infrastructure group to define and implement trading technology infrastructure required initiatives.

-You must have 5+ years work experience in the Financial industry

-NT 4.0/XP Desktop Knowledge

-Knowledge of electronic order routing

-FIX messaging protocol experience

-Knowledge of at least one scripting or programmatic language

-Knowledge of Equity Brokerage Trading/Operations

-Knowledge of most of the following: Knowledge of Exchanges, ECNs, ATSs, etc.,BRASS knowledge (alternatively Royal Blue FidessaNet knowledge),NYFIX knowledge,FlexTrade, Lava knowledge, Reuters+,Reuters TRIAD,Autex, Instant Messaging, Microsoft Outlook, NT Networking experience,Program trading knowledge, Algorithmic trading knowledge
