We seek a versatile systems professional to play a leadership role in defining, developing and implementing core transaction processing and middle office applications for the Debt Capital Markets division. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded development leader to grow and benefit while contributing a range of knowledge to the benefit of multiple initiatives and business priorities.
The person in this role will help build and then lead a team that will develop core technology assets such as a transaction hub, position service, a sophisticated workflow management framework and an integrated messaging environment. These products form a central and crucial part of a 3-5 year technical architectural plan for the debt business.
Candidates must have a proven track record of tangible, hands-on accomplishment in developing significant trade processing systems. Experience with middle-office development, straight-through processing, automation of complex workflows, front-office systems, and electronic trading is a major advantage.
The position requires a balance of technical skill, business knowledge and managerial acumen. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work consultatively and influence change. Previous work managing teams of 4-12 developers or more is important. Demonstrated success working with end-users excellent interpersonal, project and teamwork skills are essential.
Technical background should include solid experience with technologies such as messaging, Java/J2EE, application servers (e.g., WebLogic), C++, .Net, workflow frameworks, relational databases, XML, Unix, Linux, distributed computing, and/or web services. Familiarity with BEA’s integrated product set is a major plus. A sophisticated understanding of modern software engineering is essential.
