Assimilate Technology Updates VersaFix OSS FIX Engine for .NET

Imported from previous forum

Assimilate Technology Inc. is pleased to announce the latest release of the VersaFix open source FIX engine for the .NET platform. This latest release moves the project from ALPHA to BETA 1, and we’re looking forward to feedback from the hundreds of users that are currently working with the ALPHA code base.

This latest release adds some new functionality to the platform, most notably a full-featured message validation component which allows users to carry out in-depth validation of any FIX message against a FIX dictionary. If you’re developing web-based tools for message validation or other software that needs to be able to conduct validation of fields and repeating groups within messages, the VersaFix message validation module will give you that capability in an easy-to-use .NET class that generates a full report against FIX messages that are run through it.

The VersaFix source code has also been restructured so that the entire system builds into a single assembly, which is an improvement over the ALPHA code where the assemblies were built independently of each other.

The VersaFix project is hosted on www.tradebreaker.com, our open-source resource site for FIX technologists, which has also been completely redesigned. Registration is free and provides you with access to the complete source and binary releases of the VersaFix system, along with access to other tools and utilities for working with the FIX protocol.

We’re always looking for feedback regarding the VersaFix system, so if you haven’t downloaded it or played around with it, please join the hundreds of users that have already done so and let us know what you think about the system!

Thanks,

Russ Curry
