Charles River Development is a buy-side, multi-currency order and trade management system for investment managers. We are a growing, financially secure software company currently in need an experienced senior software engineer with heavy Java and FIX experience.
The candidate will have influence and impact on the architecture, standards, and implementation of the FIX server-side of our next generation OMS. The FIX work will be in the application layer, but good knowledge of FIX session level concepts is required.
Ideal candidate will have six or more years of commercial software development, proficiency in developing multi-tier solutions, and a BS / MS in CS or equivalent experience. A minimum of three years commercial Java development, and two years of FIX-related development experience are required. Substantial business domain knowledge of how FIX operates from a buy-side perspective and how ECN’s, ATS’s, and other sources of liquidity interact with an OMS and with FIX is required. Some experience with relational DBMS’s and experience with the SQL language is necessary. Fixed Income knowledge would be extremely helpful. Development will be in Windows, with Windows and Unix deployment.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with the business side on requirements and other issues are necessary.
