The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes,
products and operations to create detailed business requirements, documenting them using formal artifacts, communicating them to the
development team and validating that they have been properly implemented. The position also involves working out effective communication plan to engage business users from multiple functional
areas, communicate project status, and resolve issues related to business process re-engineering.
Experience:
5-10 years of Business Analysis
experience in capital market area
Solid experience with Structured Products,
Credit Derivatives, Credit Risk Management,
Fin46, or Basel II - Experience with Web GUI
design and development preferred
Experience with ntier Java / Oracle business
applications preferred
General Qualifications:
Business Requirements Analysis, Information
Systems Knowledge, Logical Data Modeling,
Customer Service Orientation, Establishing
Relationships, Initiative, Logical Thinking,
Written and Oral Communication, OOAD,
UML.
Technical and Other Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Must be able to project a confident,
knowledgeable, and professional image especially
while dealing with senior level business
users.
Strong skills in business analysis and design,
modeling tools and methodology.
Working knowledge of major database
products/tools and SQL.
Understanding of Capability Maturity Model
(CMM) methodology is preferred.
Sound analytical skills and critical thinking capability.
Ability to work under pressure like a ‘swat?
team, producing results in a faster turnaround mode.
Ability to Multi-task whilst ensuring other key
deliverables continues to be met.
Ability to analyze and explain the risks
involved in using, or not using, technology
solutions to solve business or organizational
problems and not compromising on the
architectural direction and vision.
Must have a positive and a can do
attitude.
Must be a self-motivator and be able to work with minimal direction.
Education:
College degree in related discipline is required
Professional training in structured finance or
derivatives is highly desirable
