Performs work across the whole project lifecycle
and across multiple business units that require
the design of cross-product technical solutions.
May serve as a project team lead.
Researches existing in-house FX/Derivatives &
Traditional Credit Products applications, other
components built in the GCRM/CIT program and
vendor products, existing business process and
system modifications. Responsible for management
of business requirements for applications and
associated documentation. Responsible for
influencing and potentially guiding the business
and AD teams to make the fully informed
decisions.
• Strong partnership with Business, Operations,
and other Technology team members
• A key point of contact between IB Technology
and the business
• Continuous communication of the practical
implications of business decisions, issues and
plans to business and technology teams
• Project deliverables meet business
requirements, industry best practices and
standards and that the requirements are clearly
understood by technology team
• Documentation regarding business priorities and
requirements
• Documentation of release notes and user guides
• Development of less experienced team members
• Establishes strong working relationships with
team members; all functions within IB Technology;
and across the business as appropriate
• Consults with businesses to effectively drive
business strategies forward through the optimal
use of technology
• Analyze existing applications that are being
decommissioned, review current application that
is being built and identify consolidated &
consistent functionality across Securities,
FX/Derivates and Traditional Credit
Products.
• Update existing Business Requirements ,
document existing and new business processes and
requirements in detail using Word/Rational suite
• Expected to conduct in-depth analysis of
existing functionality and recommend
improvements
• Expected to complete logical modeling of the
functionality
• Expected to build Excel based on HTML based
functional mock-ups, syndicate with key users and
technology teams
• Identifies, assesses, and records tactical and
strategic business needs and issues, recommending
business priorities, and advising businesses on
options, risks, and costs versus benefits
• Communicates business priorities to the
technology organization accordingly, in order to
drive effective business solutions
• Researches to determine if solutions to
business needs currently exist within or outside
the business unit, and if not, whether new
solutions are feasible
• Analyzes business processes, products and
operations to create detailed business
requirements. Communicates these requirements to
the development team for the design and
implementation of business solutions
• Provides input to the development of formal
business cases when enterprise-wide business
solutions are proposed
• Contributes a business or process perspective
during design reviews
• Works with the Quality Management team to
ensure that requirements documentation can be
easily translated into test plans, and that
testing plans have been completed
• Responsible for guiding and advising AD teams
to make the fully informed decisions
• Deep understanding of business and
technologies, with specific expertise in the
business area of this LOB
• Educates the team on future direction of the
business
• Educates the assigned business on the current
direction of IT
• May manage day to day workload of junior team
members, monitoring milestones and critical dates
to identify potential jeopardy of schedule and
identify / mitigate risk
• Promotes teamwork in problem resolution

• College degree, or specialized training or
equivalent work experience
• Typically requires 4 plus years of related work
experience
• Requires experience/understanding of business
process reengineering and business modeling
concepts
• Experience working in an Investment
Bank
• Experience in Credit Risk
applications
• Knowledge of FX/Derivatives, Traditional Credit
Products (Loans, LCs, etc) and Securities
