This department is responsible for the maintenance and development of the Shared Services systems, e.g Generic Instrument Static Data , Client Static Data, and Functional Systems which support multi business streams. Within the Shared Services IT department, there is a specifically created IT team currently made up of 4 BA’s and 6 tech dev staff working on a new strategic platform for Corporate Action and Dividend processing.
Main function of the job
Analysis of Dividends, Coupons and Corporate Actions processing.
Documentation of Business Requirements
Documentation of Functional Specifications
Documentation of Testing Approach/Strategy
Project Management & Test Management
Documentation of test cases and test plans
Execution of Functional Testing
Execution of Regression Testing
Liaise with other IT & business groups and project managers to ensure coordination of projects affecting other functional areas.
Technical Development team Liaison End user Liaison
Maintain a ‘big-picture’ view of the direction of development, factoring in a vision of the overall strategic firm-wide architecture and business strategy. Contribute to process re-engineering and improvement.

Qualifications/Education Required
University Degree
Qualifications/Education Preferred
Qualification in business analysis or testing.
Experience Required
• Excellent knowledge of the workings of Investment Banking (e.g. Business background in settlements, equities, corporate actions, prime brokerage.).
• Proven knowledge of the lifecycle and processing of Coupons, Corporate Actions and Dividends.
• Excellent and proven Analysis skills leading to requirements documentation and functional specification.
• Excellent structured testing skills with ability to create, build and document relevant test scenarios and manage testing by other groups.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience Preferred
• Experience of using workflow tools.
• Specific experience of Metastorm e-work or C#(software specific training can be provided if necessary).
