Financial services firm in Westchester seeks a Java Developer for the support of equity and currency trading systems in their Global Equity Buyside Trading department. This is a great opportunity for you to broaden your knowledge of the equity markets, helping to build tools to support a buy side equity trading department. You will interact with traders, portfolio managers, legal/compliance, and back office staff.
New applications will be mostly developed using modern tools such as Java/J2EE and some .NET. Existing application enhancement/support will involve VB, PowerBuilder(optional), Delphi, Java, XML/XSL, ASP.NET, SQL (Sybase System 12, MS SQL 7.0), C/C++, Crystal Reports.
Technical skills required are at least 3-5 years of SQL (Microsoft or Sybase) and at least 3 years programming experience in Java. Any experience with the financial services industry and/or the FIX protocol or other STP technologies is a plus. Experience in .NET, VB, Dephi, or C++ also a plus.
