I am looking for both junior (1-3yrs exp.) and senior (7+ years exp.) C++ developers to join the development of bequity electronic trading systems with an elite NYC investment firm. Development of real-time, multithread financial systems is a must. These roles are full-time have TREMENDOUS exposure. These positions would be ideal for those looking to get closer to the business.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a global team environment. The person should be a strong team-player. The position requires intermediate to advanced C++ programming skills, and excellent technical and business communication skills. Excellent analytical skills are required for contributing to discussions on tactical and strategic solutions for business problems that include business and exchange requirements enhancements. Candidates with excellent design and implementation skills in design patterns, distributed services and three-tier technologies will be able to play a strong role in the imminent consolidation of various Order Management systems. This is a high-pressure environment, supporting a business-critical function. Candidate must be able to work independently with little guidance to solve business and technical problems quickly and elegantly.
Requirements:
Intermediate to advanced C++
Object Oriented Software Development
Knowledge of some communication protocols (Orbix, Rendezvous, TCP/IP, RPC, etc.)
Software development lifecycle
Build, release experience
The following experiences will be a plus:
Interfacing with broad range of professionals-- including various IT groups, Support, compliance, and trading desks
Knowledge of production support environment and processes
Working with a global team
Able to independently manage small projects with 1-2 junior developers
Ability to mentor junior members in C++, business flows
