Program Trading - Trader Desktop. Build next generation Client application for US Equities Program Trading. The trader desktop will provide a flexible and ergonomic display of all orders and their status while also providing aggregate real-time information about the portfolios assigned to that trader. Develop, debug, and support GUI components for a high throughput, highly
available, and scalable execution systems.
Minimum Requirements:
Expertise in utilizing OO analysis techniques via patterns in actual
development efforts.
Must be fluent in sequence, collaboration, and deployment diagrams in UML notation.
Must be capable of explaining solutions via these diagrams.
Windows API knowledge and 4+ years experience.
Expertise with interprocess communications using sockets, Tibco RV, or
similar technologies. Experience must be greater than 2 years. System.Net.
Expertise with development using RAD technologies, 4+ years.
.Net Architecture (CLR, JIT, GAC, GC, Assemblies).
Building, Packaging, Deploying, and Administering .Net Applications and
Types.
Automatic Memory Management.
Reflection.
Streams and Serialization.
Threading.
Exceptions.
.Net Data Access Architecture.
System.Net namespace.ADO.Net.
lNet/COM Interoperability.
Design patterns and UML.
Visual Studio.Net.
Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to
explain concepts and ideas clearly and concisely to both business and
development personnel.
Extensive development expertise in high-performance, multi-threaded
programming (thread pools, mutex, critical segments, etc.). Experience must
be greater than 4 years. System.Threading namespace for .Net.
Experience with some form of high performance RDBM systems such as Oracle
and/or Sybase. System.Data and System.Data.OracleClient namespaces.
Experience with development in a financial (preferably equities execution)
setting, or development on a high throughput, transaction-oriented system.
Experience with building systems that have high availability.
2+ years of experience with version control system.
Experience utilizing the Unified Process or other formal, iterative
development process. Follow standards.
