Team member for Credit Technology project focused on allocating a credit capital charge to individual business lines and associated reporting on a daily basis. The function will involve sourcing information from multiple systems, processing large volumes of trades, and creating on-the-fly computations. The primary responsibility is application and infrastructure development.
Strong team-working and communication skills are essential due to the collaborative nature of the team.
Principal Responsibilities
Software development in Java
Participation in full software development lifecycle from design to production release
Experience / Skills / Systems Requirements
3-4 yrs of hands-on Java programming
Aptitude to learn and apply OO design concepts and patterns to solve real-world business domain problems
3-4 yrs of Sybase (isql, stored procedures, DB/CT Library, bcp). Good understanding of how to write efficient database queries.
Proven track record in meeting project goals and delivering production quality software incrementally
Ability to work independently and as a member of a medium to large team
Desire to practice Test Driven Development (TDD) and relevant experience using automated testing tools such as xUnit
Experience with large volumes of transactional information
Experience in (and knowledge of) Risk Management would be a significant asset
