Foreign Exchange team of top-tier financial services company is seeking disciplined and detail oriented C++ software engineers with minimum 3+ years of industry experience; also looking for senior developers-- to design, develop, and test FX software applications and components. The software engineer will immediately be responsible for creating, enhancing, documenting, and refactoring large complex software applications and will be involved in the entire software development life-cycle (requirements analysis, design, implementation, documentation, SQA, and maintenance)
Foreign exchange background is not required but would be a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, and result oriented;
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience;
- Proven C++/OOAD skills;
- Financial experience or demonstrated interest in financial markets;
- Desire to work with complex large-scale legacy systems;
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Pluses: PERL, design patterns, UNIX, GTK
