Custody Technology develops software that supports the entire Private Wealth Management Business of this global financial firm. The Private Wealth Management business is responsible for investing the funds of individuals who have a net disposable income of large amount of money.

Custody Technology comprises of many smaller teams. These teams were created to ensure that for each component within the business there would be a dedicated IT team responsible for that area. These teams can be categorized by the following business needs Cash Management, Exception Processing, Trade Booking, Margin Services, Asset Servicing, Portfolio Management Services, Product and Account Referential Data, Custodian Reconciliation, Client Reporting, and Portfolio Accounting. Within Custody Technology we refer to these teams as “functional teams”. The team members of the functional teams are given the opportunity to hone both their technical skills and functional skills in addition to closely interacting with the business. In addition to these business related groups we also have two highly technical groups, Infrastructure, that are primarily focused on providing the infrastructure and additional technical expertise for the tools that are created and used by the functional teams. Also we have a business analysis group that supports the requirements definition, functional specification development and UAT planning for large and / or complex projects that require extensive interaction with the Development Teams.

As a member of Custody Technology you get the unique opportunity to interact with and learn all aspects of the middle and back office functionalities of the Private Wealth Management business. As the business continue to grow, the demand by Private Wealth Management business for new projects have been overwhelming.

Role Summary:
The following items indicate the different duties that would be performed for this position.

  1. Analyze, design, develop, test, install and maintain information systems
  2. Translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered business applications
  3. Interface with uses and other developers to determine the most cost effective approach to meet business requirements.
  4. Design, evaluate and select tools necessary to build and support systems.
  5. Learn about all aspects of the Business
  6. Create and enhance software related to processing account related data.

Candidate Profile:

Technical Skills
B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science/Engineering related field with programming experience.
Database Skills (SQL, Sybase, Oracle), Programming Skills(C, C++, Java, Visual Basic etc.).

Interpersonal Skills
Good communication and presentation skills.
Industrious.
Able to function as part of a team and build relationships with team and peers in related areas.
Able to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
