A top derivatives desk at a major NYC financial firm is currently searching for a senior C++/Unix/Corba developer. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years relevant programming experience and demonstrate proficiency in three or more of the following technology areas: C, C++, Java, XML, UNIX, CORBA, Perl, FIX, interprocess communication, relational database (specifically Sybase) and a working knowledge of financial instruments including Fixed Income, Equities and their derivatives including futures, options and swaps. Any exposure to Risk Management applications or tools is highly desirable.Candidate must be able to demonstrate initiative as well as excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, and should enjoy interacting with many diverse areas of the firm and possess superior communications skills both written and verbal.
The successful candidate will be part of the team responsible for analysis, design, coding and support of risk and trading, position management and workflow tools and reports. to support the rapid expansion of the Equity Finance trading group in a quick turn-around, responsive and business-aligned environment.
