Cameron Systems Accelerates Growth — Peter Cooper Named CEO
New York, NY- Tuesday December 7, 2004: Leading global FIX trading solutions provider, Cameron Systems today announced that former Standard Chartered Bank Executive, Peter Cooper, has been named its new Chief Executive Officer. Peter Cooper has accepted the CEO role to drive Cameron’s continued expansion through product and market development initiatives across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Peter Cooper takes over from Cameron Systems Acting Co-CEO’s John Cameron and Martin Koopman. Cameron Systems Founder and Chairman, John Cameron, will focus on his CTO responsibilities with overall responsibility for Cameron’s Technology Development globally. Martin Koopman will continue in his role as Commercial Director, with particular focus on the North Americas region.
Peter has 20 years experience in technology and finance; he most recently headed Systems Development across a range of product sets for Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to Standard Chartered, Peter held Executive positions at Rothschilds, Macquarie Bank and the Australian Stock Exchange. He has also held leadership roles in a range of industry initiatives and standards bodies in Asia.
