Hong Kong, March 19, 2003 — Leading global FIX engine vendor, Cameron Systems, today announced a partnership agreement with Infocast, an IT consulting firm specializing in the Financial industry, to provide support and consulting services in Hong Kong for the flagship product — CameronFIX.
"We were first introduced to Infocast last year when they evaluated and integrated CameronFIX for a Hong Kong-based securities firm," said Martin Koopman, Commercial Director, Cameron Systems. "Following this successful deployment and recognizing Infocast’s expertise within the financial services industry, it made mutual business sense to deepen the relationship and broker a deal that would give Infocast the rights to provide support and consulting services for Cameron Systems in Hong Kong."
"Cameron Systems has a strong reputation worldwide for CameronFIX," said Rico Chan, Deputy CEO, Infocast. "With FIX penetration in Hong Kong on the rise we are pleased to have found a reliable FIX solution with which we can integrate and support our customers needs. Already we have used CameronFIX to FIX enable the Infocast Trading and Settlement system deployed at one of our Hong Kong clients for straight through trading with the Singapore Stock Exchange. We have also developed a FIX interface to the Infocast trading engine for connectivity with external clients which is currently being deployed at a number of sites."
The partnership agreement between Cameron Systems and Infocast enables all firms in Hong Kong to access Infocast’s support services, as well as their FIX-based consulting services for integration and training for CameronFIX.
Cameron Systems continues its leadership position in the global FIX solutions market with the launch this month of its latest version FIX engine, CameronFIX v 6.1. Used by large and medium size fund managers, brokers and exchanges wishing to communicate financial information via the FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol, CameronFIX adheres closely to FIX standards whilst also supporting communication with non-standard FIX connections. The CameronFIX engine, deployed since 1997, enables Straight Through Processing of securities, fixed income, futures, options, foreign exchange and other financial products.
The recent results of the inaugural European 2002 FIX Users’ Survey released by the FIX Protocol Committee, awarded top rankings to CameronFIX by users in the categories of technical performance, functional coverage, quality of support staff and overall satisfaction.
Cameron Systems is an exhibitor at the Asian FIX Conference in Hong Kong on March 20, 2003. John Cameron, CTO, Cameron Systems, and Glenn Cruickshank, Sales Director, Cameron Systems will be available at the stand on the day. Representatives from Infocast will also be available at the Cameron Systems stand. The Asian FIX Conference is presented by the FIX Protocol organization.
