Role: Intermediate/Senior Level Java Developer - Cameron Systems
Location: London UK
This is a new position caused by growth.
This role involves being a hands on Java developer as well as having a secondary client facing role. The role will suit a strong developer who wishes to work with some of the strongest Java/FIX developers in the industry. It will also suit an individual who wishes to grow into a more client focussed role and really make a name for themselves in the industry.
Responsible for:
Development – 70% of time
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of the CameronFIX engine, options, and new products. All Cameron Systems products are written in Java.
Client facing – 30% of time
- Pre and post sales technical guidance and support directly with customers.
Performance will be measured by:
- Quality of software development
- Technical knowledge of Cameron Systems products
- Quality and timeliness of assistance given to customers and sales staff pre sales
Crucial Skills Needed:
- comprehensive java programming knowledge. Intermediate-Level Java Software Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- design patterns / object oriented design
- fundamental understanding of threading and synchronization concepts
- network programming / sockets experience
- familiarity of tools such as debuggers and profilers
- comfortable with windows and unix operating system
- BS computer science or equivalent
- Good presentation and communication skills
Non crucial but ‘would be good’ skills:
- experience with the securities industry
- experience with FIX market protocol
- experience or confidence in operating for a small/medium size high growth company
Remuneration:
$80-$120K plus stock options

The position is expected to start as soon as possible
