Cameron Systems to Provide Fully Integrated Support for FIX over SWIFTNet

February 21, 2002 - Cameron Systems today announced it will provide fully integrated support for FIX over SWIFTNet. Cameron Systems will enable their CameronFIX engine to connect to the SWIFTNet FIX service. This will allow CameronFIX clients to connect with enhanced functionality to SWIFTNet for the transportation of FIX messages. Cameron Systems will also support FIX as it evolves to ISO15022 XML.

“SWIFTNet FIX allows us to offer standardised messaging services across the entire transaction lifecycle, from front to back office operations,” said Victor Abbeloos, Head of Partners Solutions, SWIFT. “By enabling connectivity, FIX engine providers can help customers to achieve greater efficiency across their operations. To this end, we welcome Cameron’s decision to provide seamless access to SWIFTNet FIX.”

“SWIFT is an important partner for us as they increase their participation in the front office and FIX world”, said John Cameron, Chief Technology Officer, Cameron Systems. “Cameron Systems’ vision is an infrastructure which provides tools and applications allowing for integration of multiple standard and in-house technologies and protocols. We are happy to be working with SWIFT on SWIFTNet and their adoption of the ISO15022XML standards.”

SWIFT recently announced they will support FIX messaging over SWIFTNet together with a central FIXHub to enable subscribers to reduce operational costs of many point-to-point connections. In addition, FIX Protocol Ltd. (FPL) and SWIFT announced their intention to work together on the convergence of the FIX messaging protocol under the ISO15022 XML standard.

Cameron Systems is a registered vendor within the SWIFT Partner Solutions program. Cameron Systems will be exhibiting at the SIBOS conference in Geneva in September 2002.
