Good day,

How can I specify CFD instrument in NewOrderSingle? For example, CFD for EUR/USD pair?
In my understanding I should specify intrument type through SecurityType (167) or CFICode(461). However, I can’t find appropriate SecurityType/CFICode value.

You should be using the BookingType (775).

CFDs are considered a booking type in FIX. In the order message you would specify the underlying equity and set tag 775 (BookingType) equal to 1 (CFD).

Hi Robert,
In the confirmation (sell-side) space what is the FIX message which is used for CFD? or for any derivatives like Futures/OPtions? Is it AllocationReport or something else?

with respect to the intropduction of Exchange traded CFDs by the LSE – is there any guidance on which tags and how populated so that we can distinguish ET CFDS from OTC CFDs on order message from clients

There is no guidance right now, and initially there needs to be contemplation of whether an individual client wants both. 775 is the “classic” tag. We created 7750 (see custom tag section on fixprotocol.org) to add further flexibility for give ups etc, which at some point should be reviewed for merging back into 775. Perhaps we can add a new numerator for etCFDS.
