Client Connectivity Developer/QA - LONDON
Knowledge, Skill, Experience Required:
You must have a thorough understanding of the royalblue server product range.
Support, QA and development skills.
Good planning and communication skills.
Good trouble shooting skills.
The resource would need at least 1 years worth of royalBlue implementation knowledge.
Good understanding of FIX.
Good understanding of UNIX – including writing shell scripts.
Cognisant with software lifecycles, particularly the QA process
Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the role is to keep the Client Connectivity Testing (CCT) system in step with the production system.
Every time a release to production is performed, the change will have to be evaluated and applied to the CCT system. This may be as simple as applying static data changes or as complicated as releasing a new version of the position keeping system.
Candidate must participate in the QA process for all Client Connectivity (CC) releases, writing and executing test plans and scripts and co-ordianting the QA effort.
The successful candidate will:
•resynchronise production static data (users,
books, counterparties, instruments, charge
rules, etc) on a regular basis to ensure the
system remains a valid representation of the
production environment.
•monitor the test systems and consolidate and
publish an exchange and system testing calendar.
•swing shared exchange connectivity between
testing environments.
•write tools to empower the connectivity help
desk with the information that they require to
support their business.
•act as a focal point and investigate(CC) issues
thereby returning development staff to more
beneficial activities.
•coordinate any IT related activities associated
with the migration of clients between Autobahn
environments as well as set up new client
profiles.
•provide CC MIS and develop CC specific
enhancements.
•coordinate stress testing activities in the
testing lab as well as undertaking UAT work.
•Define test plans to cover testing activities of
all new functional and maintenance releases and
help drive the QA process from unit testing to
user acceptance testing
•Prepare and maintain detailed test scripts for
regression, performance and capacity testing of
all connectivity systems
