A top financial in the NYC area is currently looking for a project manager to join their equities client connectivity group.
This person will beresponsible for the management of the client connectivity process, cooperating with business in the acquisition, setup and support of clients. The role is internal and external client focused with the application of the specific technical knowledge to the problem of supporting trading by electronic means.
The Individual must be self-starting, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be customer-service orientated. Excellent listening skills are essential. Candidate will also have excellent FIX protocol skills, gathered over multiple years within the financial industry. The individual will be highly committed: reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy are essential to ensure a courteous and efficient service is provided with tact and patience. The ability to manage a tense situation is essential. This position requires a good level of technical skills and an ability to resolve complex problems creatively.
Specifically, this position requiresq 3 – 5 years experience supporting Equity applications.
5 – 7 years experience in technical positions. Detailed knowledge of FIX protocol, including minimum of three years supporting FIX compliant applications. Responsible for the management of production problems, ensuring effective and timely resolution. Demonstrable skills in communicating technical issuesq Promote the overall stability of the system through improved monitoring and similar initiatives.
