A major Investment Bank is looking for an Exchange and Client Connectivity Engineer. This person will be responsible for establishing connectivity to clients and exchanges using a mixture of direct FIX connections and third party vendors. Provide pre-installation assistance for clients; from discussing connectivity and order routing options, to taking clients all the way through to first day of trading. Develop and prepare infrastructure to handle new products and order routing by working closely with and coordinating with vendors, exchanges and the various members of IT: developers, security, network, SA’s. Coordination and planning with the LN, HK and Tokyo offices is also required since ETS systems are globally integrated. This is a hands-on position that allows the person to gain in-depth knowledge of the equities business and technology. This is a growth position within the Firm. As the trading floor incorporates more technology into its core business model, the responsibilities and size of the team continues to grow. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid technical skills who wants to learn more about the equity trading environment.
Required Skills: Experience with Unix, Sybase, any type of scripting (perl would be a plus), must have strong experience with Fix Protocols. Expereince with Fix Integration, Client Connectivity, Firewalls, TCP/IP.
