Position: Implementation Manager (NYC)
Department: Connectivity Services
Reports to: Group Vice President/Manager
General Description
Individual is responsible for the coordination of activities related to the sale, implementation, and follow-up of BNY Brokerage’s trading products and services. Position will liaise with client contacts and with BNY Brokerage staff to support new client implementations. In spearheading client implementations, the candidate will also have to manage projects or tasks/assignments in support of the evolving electronic trading environment (e.g. implementation planning, product training, client consultation, vendor management, etc.). This is not a technology position though a strong understanding of technology is preferred.
Specific Responsibilities
· Coordinate FIX & Web-based connections for our clients so that they can access the BNY Brokerage suite of products and services.
· Coordinate activities between client, Network, and OMS vendors in support of these installations.
· Act as a subject matter expert for BNYB regarding client installations and trading technologies
· Organize and lead BNY Brokerage client meetings documenting action items, issues, process flows, escalation procedures, etc.
· Establish training guides and materials as well as conduct client-training sessions on an as needed basis
· Coordinate/Document clients’ requests to modify/change existing products and services
· Identify process re-engineering/improvement opportunities within the organization.
· Update internal resources (charts, client lists, status reports, etc.) on activities related to client installations
Experience Level/Knowledge and Skills
· 3-5 years background in trading systems and the financial marketplace
· Working knowledge of the Listed and OTC marketplaces
· Ability to analyze details and develop project plans involving both technical and non-technical aspects of electronic trading
· Strong conceptual product design
· High degree of written and oral presentation capabilities. Candidate must be comfortable providing statuses to BNY Brokerage staff (Senior Management and Traders)
· Experience in project and product management is a plus
· Knowledge of Lava, UNX, RediPlus, etc is definitely a plus.
