Client Support Engineers
CSE’s provide level one and level two development support via telephone and email for clients who require support installing, integrating or troubleshooting their integration with software. A level one CSE is assigned to every client to act as the single point of contact for all problems. They also have hands-on experience helping clients thru the nuances of connecting with various buy-side and sell-side counter-parties, ECN’s and major exchanges FIX engines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop the skills and experience needed to succeed in one of the most rapidly growing and exciting financial software companies.

  2. Be able to balance large and diverse amounts of work effectively and efficiently.

  3. Develop a working knowledge of all of Javelin’s extensive line of products.

  4. Work directly with clients about development and implementation issues.

  5. Work directly with clients to resolve client issues and debug problems.

  6. Work on a variety of projects with all members of the development and support team

  7. Develop intimate understanding of Javelin products, including debugging work.

  8. Develop knowledge of the financial industry and markets. Understand financial terms

Qualifications and Experience
Required:
· Degree in Computer Science or related technological field (Bachelors, Masters, PhD)
· Work Experience with FIX protocol
· Experience (either class work or actual work) in Object Oriented software development.
· Experience (either class work or actual work) in Java and C++
· Knowledge of various Operating Systems including NT, Solaris, and other Unix environments.

Preferred, but not required:

· Solid understanding of real time threading in an NT and Sun Solaris environment.
· Understanding of real time electronic communication protocols especially TCP/IP based.
· Understanding of fault tolerance, high speed transaction processing.
· Understanding of database architectures for fail-over and recovery in a production environment.
· Understanding of electronic securities trading.
