Can anybody provide me with data on comparison of various FIX Engines and how they fare on various FIX Specific features along with value added features like fault tolerance.

Simple question. Look at the various engines listed on the site. Call the sales guys and ask them.

I would short circuit the process and look at CameronFIX and TransactTools. Both are excellent products, scale well, modern technology and have wealthy parents (TT was bought by NYSE and Cameron by ORC).

You need to decide what you want it to do and how you want it to communicate with other systems. The APIs available tend to vary alot between the products, as does how you use them. ie: some are pure FIX session handlers with low level programmer based interfaces. Others come with more sophisticated message broker components that will do a lot more than just pure FIX. Financial Fusion, Trade Force products are very good at the more sophisticated end of the market.
