Hello,
Is there a central place where CompIDs are defined or are individual companies responsible for setting their own CompIDs? The same goes for the SubIDs and LocationIDs. Thanks for you help!

Implementers of the FIX Protocol are free to choose their own CompID values and there is no central clearinghouse for these per se. We do have a “Principals” page on the FIX website in which buyside and sellside firms who have implemented the FIX protocol can volunteer information about their use of FIX. One of the fields on the Principals page entry is the firm’s CompID value(s). I would highly recommend that any firm using FIX submit a Principals page entry.
Firms often use only a single CompID for all FIX sessions. The SubIDs and LocationIDs will definitely vary per counterparty.
