Can someone please let me know where I can find some information on fix trading of currencies and forwards? If there is someplace that contains what is required for different types of products? Also versions of fix that support different products?

Please refer to Appendix O in the FIX 4.2 spec which details some of this. You can follow-up with me directly as well if you’d like since our firm has had this in production for over a year for a significant portion of our F/X trading.
