A role for an experienced consultant developer looking to develop and support applications in the listed derivatives area. Joining a dynamic team and able to form good working relationships with end users and fellow technologists. Will build business knowledge on listed derivative processing, provide development on our Java based clearing platform. Will provide high quality production support to a demanding client base on this and other systems.
Technical Skills:
-OO design and implementation experience essential
-Java experience essential (Swing/J2EE)
-Sybase experience essential, other RDBMS a plus
-Perl experience essential
-Experience with realtime systems/messaging infrastructures highly desirable
-Familiarity with build/deployment tools e.g. ANT
Relevant Skills/Qualifications:
-Experience with OO design and Java implementation
-Experience providing high quality production support to a demanding client base
-Listed Derivatives knowledge a strong plus
-Must be a self starter
Programming Languages:
-5+ years OO design/development
-3+ years Java
-2+ years RDBMS, Sybase preferred
-1+ year Perl
-1+ year Swing
Systems:
-Experience with Solaris or other unix environment(s) essential
-Familiarity with XP desktop development environment, delivering Java into XP and Solaris.
