Developers working in electronic stock trading systems development / testing / support / maintainence who fail to adopt FIXProtocol could be left behind :-((This inference is based on the following two messages recently posted on http://fixprotocol.org/)

20-June-2007 : Alex Walker, vice president (international) at TNS Financial Services said the following at

2-July-2007 : Neal Wolkoff, Amex Chairman and CEO is asking its order flow providers and aggregators to upgrade from CMS to FIX connectivity with the Exchange by August 31st, 2007.

These two messages lead me to conclude that more Buy & Sell sides would be adopting electronic trading and FIX is emerging as leading electronic exchange connectivity protocol.
