It seems reasonable to add the Text fields to Quote, Quote Request messages to permit counterparties to add textual information to a quote or quote request.

This has been addressed for the final release of FIX 4.3 (post-Draft #3). Thank you.

  • Added Text, EncodedText, and EncodedTextLen fields to Quote and QuoteRequest messages.
