You will be the point of contact for all things technical and so will need a broad understanding of as many of: high availability solutions (clustering, replication, etc), FIX, Unix (esp Solaris, Linux), Sybase ASE, SQL Server, TCP/IP. This experience will have been gained over 2-3 years in a financial software environment - either with a software house or directly inside a financial institution.
