There is one EMIR Refit field - “Final Contractual Settlement Date”, definition given below
" Unadjusted date as per the contract, by which all transfer of cash or assets should take place and the counterparties should no longer have any outstanding obligations to each other under that contract.
For products that may not have a final contractual settlement date ( e.g. American options ), this data element reflects the date by which the transfer of cash or asset would take place if termination were to occur on the expiration date…"
Are there any fields in FIXML that can be used to represent Final Contractual Settlement Date. Please let me know.
@rahulmohanraj the closest I can come up with is CashSettlDateUnadjusted(42207) that can be found within Instrument -> CashSettlTermGrp -> CashSettlDate component.
There is of course the usual SettlDate(64).
What’s unclear to me if ESMA’s use of the term “final” which seems to imply there may be a schedule of periodic payments. Are you able to clarify?
Please see some of the points related to this field
The Final contractual settlement date as specified in the RTS on reporting is not a repeatable field, therefore it is not possible to report both settlement dates – of the near and far leg – in this field.
There is explicit reference to sourcing the ‘Final’ settlement date per the ‘contract’.
There is explicitly a reference to cash as well as assets.
From the above points we can infer that it is a single date and not a schedule of periodic payments.
