Employee group association error

When logged in as DeutscheBoerseGroup, I see associations to other employee groups that our company should not have. This may be a general error so I post it here. Please check where the association comes from.

Hanno you are not Associated, its just that the person in the Programme Office who set these up set them to "Public" so you can see them. They shoudl be set to only be visible to their members. UI know who did it so I will intercept them and show them how to correct it.

I have corrected the Access Control settings. Thanks for the spot- hard to see as an Admin, since you can see everything!

Thanks for the click clarification and correction. I had used the plain English term "associated" to simply say that I am being told "You are currently a member of the following FIX Trading Community employee group". It is maybe symptomatic for some of the things users are struggling with. How important is it for a normal (often infrequent) user of the new website to distinguish "being a member of ", "being associated with", "being a follower of" (maybe there are more variants)?

They should be the same thing, as users are not supposed to see any Employee Group they are not affiliated with; (the logic managing the visibility of Employee Groups under the  "You are currently a member of the following FIX Trading Community employee group" caption relies on the Access Control logic to implement the filter). However the mis-configuration of these Employee Groups meant they were visible to people not members of the relevant Group as the recommended setting had not been applied. This is just an Admin experience/training issue, and if correctly performed users should not encounter any issue.

I have contacted the Admin people concerned to make sure the Admin Training issue is recognised and followed-up on, and logged the issue in our JIRA Issue Tracking so it is reviewed in formal project board to ensure follow-up.

We will aslo keep a watching brief on new Member set-up for the next few weeks to ensure no recurrence.
