Mid-level developer to support and maintain the existing Equities Compliance Systems. Developer will also take part in a new initiative to rewrite the existing systems. Job entails real-time support, dealing with other development groups, compliance, and business units.Must be highly motivated to learn new business processes and able to work on a large team.
Platforms: UNIX/LINUX (experience on either one is fine)
GUI Systems:
Database Systems: Sybase – working knowledge of SQL, ability to write simple stored procs
Other Programming Skills: Java required, PERL or willingness to learn PERL on the job, basic UNIX/LINUX shell scripting
Business Knowledge: knowledge of OATS, DPTR, ACT a plus, but not required. Some experience with financial systems required
Project Experience:
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with other development groups and business side contacts. Ability to resolve user problems quickly and effectively.
