Summary:
This international Investment Bank is looking for an experienced Project Manager with extensive business knowledge of Front Office Equity trading business. You must have experience of working with Traders and trading management. Familiarity with client/server technology (hardware and software), NYFIX and NASDAQ systems as well as ECNs. Knowledge of MS Project, PowerPoint, VISIO, Excel and Word, plus excellent communication skills - both oral and written.

Role:
This candidate will manage a small (3-4 person) team responsible for application delivery to the Equity Trading floor.
Duties include:
Deliver systems and enhancements on time and within budget
Manage personnel including project managers, business analysts, and technical staff
Supervise staff to produce detailed project plans,
business requirements, functional and technical
specifications
Oversee the unit testing and implementation for both vendor and in-house modifications
Maintain business request list
Maintain issues list
Manage user expectations regarding current work
initiatives
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Extensive knowledge of the front office equity trading business
5 years of managing IT staff including assigning
tasks, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring
Excellent project management skills including
experience in creating a realistic plan, identifying and mitigating risks to the plan, monitoring progress, modifying plan as necessary, and updating key stakeholders on a timely basis
Experience with formal and informal presentations to IT and business management and staff
Ability to work independently, as a group leader, and as a management team member
Ability to multi-task, delegate, and follow-up
Additional skills requested:
Experience with Royalblue’s Fidessa Enterprise or
FidessaNet systems
Experience with NASDAQ
