I recently came across an IPO for a company stating the FACE VALUE
of the stock as 10 Indian Rupees.

So i want to Know:

1> What does FACE VALUE Of a stock mean ?
2> What is its significance?
3> What is its relation vis-a-vis Market Value if any?
