Second level production support of order routing systems, specialized trading systems and connectivity to exchanges and clients. This requires being available at all times to answer questions, do research, verify and enter bugs, truly replace development in their current Level II support role. In addition, responsibilities include - release new versions/patches/upgrades from Staging Area into Production; testing Release Procedures and Controls; User Acceptance testing; testing with External clients; developing and managing test scripts; writing and maintaining production documentation; training Level I Application Support personnel; and System stress testing.
Required/Desired Education and Experience:
BS in computer, math, engineering, or finance related field. Minimum 3 years of experience of First OR Second Level Support to trading floors or Equity Elecetronic Systems. Programming and/or QA experience is a plus.
Required/Desired Knowledge and Skills:
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Unix, Sybase, advanced knowledge of Perl and scripting helpful, so is a widely used programming language (C, C++, Visual Basic).
Superior knowledge of equity trading, exchange connectivity, FIX messaging, booking, and regulatory requirements.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, are a must.
