Major bank in the NYC area is looking for the following:
Candidate will be working in the Equities Connectivity team. Candidate will be administering and supporting the interface applications that communicate with stock exchanges and customers and process orders / executions messages from / to Equities trading systems. Candidate responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, QA testing, and enhancement of the functionality of the applications.
Principal Responsibilities:
Install interface applications in production to implement exchange / customer connectivity for Equities trading systems.
Test order processing flows with exchanges and customers for new installation, QA, and other support purposes.
Troubleshoot connectivity problems in production.
Interact with other technology groups including networking and provide technical solutions for connectivity problems.
Enhance the interface applications to support additional functionalities.
Experience/Skills:
2 years minimum technical operation or development experience in UNIX, 4 years maximum.
Proficient in UNIX / LINUX and shell scripts.
Perl programming.
Good communication skills / task management skills
Experience in network operation or programming preferable.
Experience in FIX protocol preferable.
Experience in financial industry preferable.
Orbix and Sybase preferable.
