Euronext tag specification !

Imported from previous forum

Hello,

For the Euronext there are some tags whose length is specified as Zero. For example tag 55. More over this tag had been specified as "Mandatory" which is logically wrong. Mandatory and length zero. How can this be possible. there are some more tags like this. Do anybody know about this. If yes what could be the length of these. It could be printing mistake also. This i saw it in the Euronext own document specification.

Anybody know about how to test a Euronext client. I need to test it. Is there any server available. A free one or anything else possible. It would be of great help if somebody help in this.

Thank you in advance

Regards
H.

I completely agree that the Euronext interpretation is a bit “strange.” Here is another nice example: In Execution Reports they cannot avoid sending AvgPx and CumQty (because these fields are mandatory), but apparently they don’t have that information, so they send empty fields, leaving it up to the client to add up the LastShares and LastPx to previously received executions…

Euronext Fix is not Fix, but we have to live with it.
