exchange code for Boston Level ATS and Direct Edge

Hi,

Can anyone please kindly advise if there are standard fix exchange codes that we can use for the Boston level ATS as well as both Direct Edge(Direct Edge and Direct Edge X) platforms?

Please be informed that, for the 3 below markets, MICs have already been requested. They will be published in the next update of the MIC ISO 10383 lists that will be posted first week of February on http://www.iso15022.org/MIC/homepageMIC.htm.

These MICs will be:

  • EDGX for Direct Edge ECN (EDGX)
  • EDGA for Direct Edge ECN (EDGA)
  • LEVL for Level ATS

We would like to encourage FIX users that identify markets with not registered ISO 10383 MICs to request its creation using the form available on http://www.iso15022.org/MIC/homepageMIC.htm.

Will these values be acknowledged for FIX 4.2 and prior version? Or will FIX provide the corresponding numeric value accordingly? Just wondering the general guidance of FIX implementation for such new markets.

FIX supports MIC in versions starting with 4.3 and up.

For 4.2 and earlier versions of FIX the following codes have been assigned by FPL which will be posted on the Exchange Codes page in the next day or so (http://www.fixprotocol.org/specifications/exchanges.shtml):

Direct Edge X : 56
Direct Edge : 57
Level ATS : 58
