This is with a top-tiered Investment Bank. This is an opportunity to work on a number of exciting and challenging projects supporting global equity, derivatives, algorithmic and FX trading systems. This position involves participating on the different levels of ongoing system development: requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing and deployment. The candidate will be required to work in collaboration with different local and global teams across IT and business units. The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and provides the opportunity for further developing skills within a global financial organization.
Technical:
• UNIX/Linux experience (shell scripting, process management, large system performance monitoring/tuning)–MUST HAVE UNIX/LINUX SYSTEM SKILLS
• good understanding of client-server applications and distributed systems
• good Perl script skill (Must know how to script)
• database/SQL knowledge
• experience with trading systems
• Knowledge of FIX Interpersonal
• ability to work collaboratively across teams
• ability to work under time and resource dependencies and constraints
• good communication and organizational skills
• good problem solving skills.
