# Exchanges Accepting the FIX Protocol

As a provider of market-making solutions to the derivatives environment, we have historically written our own API to the various cash markets. We are currently looking at how the FIX Protocol can help with this connectivity.

Some of the questions already proposed are:

What ‘cash’ markets/exchanges can the FIX protocol be applied to directly? If a native connection is not feasible, what gateways, ECNs can provide both the market feed and order routing facility to these cash markets?

Any assistance would be appreciated.
