“executions” and “execution messages” phrases in FIX spec.

Imported from previous forum

My question concerns usage of “executions” and “execution messages” phrases in FIX specification.
Is “execution message” equivalent to “execution report” phrase ?
Is “execution” equivalent to “execution report with OrdStatus=FILLED or PARTIALLY FILLED” ?

Let’s look at the description of Account field in the execution report message:
“Required for executions against electronically submitted orders which were assigned an account by the institution or intermediary”.

Does “execution” mean in this sentence
“execution report”
or execution report with OrdStatus=FILLED or PARTIALLY FILLED
or … ?

And second example ExecId:
“Unique identifier of execution message as assigned by sell-side (broker, exchange, ECN) (will be 0 (zero) forExecType=I (Order Status)).”

Does “execution message” mean “execution report” here ?
Should ExecId be unique for every execution report ?
