Hi,
I have been quite familiar with FIX and would like to know how difficult is it to learn FAST?
Also if possible can someone let me know how different FAST is?

Hi Ambar,
FIX (as you no doubt know) is a protocol aimed at enabling different financial messages to be exhcnaged between various types of institutions and, therefore, has message types (~records) consisting of data fields/values to communicate the required information.
FAST, on the other hand, is a protocol to enable data to be compressed according to certain rules that can be defined (in a Presence Map) that relate to the data. This could be FIX messages but could equally be any other type of message.
IMHO it is not a terribly difficult protocol to learn, though I guess that depends on how much time you have / what kind of usage you’re likely to make of it, etc
