Has anyone tried FAST encoding FpML or any other complex XML Schema?
Does anyone know of an XSD to FAST template transformation?

Hi Matthew -
FAST can certainly be used to encode XML data but at this point there is not an integrated parser that would allow XML data to be presented to a FAST encoder. We are planning to develop one this year. FpML would be a great candidate for this!
Schema transformation is also a possibility as it would simplify the process of creating a FAST template. However, given that a key aspect of template creation is the assignment of encoding instructions much of the work would still be manual.

My primary interest was in transforming an XML Schema or eCore model to a FAST template. At this point I had no interest in encoding XML data.
Do you know of a FAST parser in Java?

CME has a java-based template parser that may be available as open source in the near future. However, there is nothing that i’m aware of that would convert a FIXML or FpML xsd to a FAST Template
