FIX 4.2's Deprecated and Replaced Fields

Imported from previous forum

Hi all,

Since FIX 4.3,the Appendixs include “Deprecated (Phased-out) Features and Supported Approach” and “Replaced Features and Supported Approach” to explain which field to be deprecated and which field to be Replaced.

But FIX 4.2 has no such Appendix,I wonder if anyone has such document to explain what fields to be Deprecated and Replaced in FIX 4.2.

Thank you very much!

I suggest that for 4.2 and below you use the “Release Notes” document that accompanies the spec.

In FIX repository, there is a “TOOLS AND SAMPLES” described as “Compare FIX Messages between versions (Sample Application.zip, 14KB) A simple XSLT that compares the Tags that make up each message in FIX to the Tags that make up the same message in another version. The results are displayed as a basic HTML document”

Its available at
