The Equity department of a Global Investment Bank is looking for a FIX Business Analyst. The candidate will be part of Global Order Management System (OMS) IT team. The role is based in New York, but will give the candidate the opportunity to work in global multi-cultural team. The candidate should be able to work independently and communicate with various internal and external team for achieving client connectivity.
Functional Skills:
Good understanding of the business flow in either Fund management or an Investment Bank.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of experience in FIX environment.
Must have kept abreast of the industry’s move toward T+1 and STP.
Knowledge of FIX Engine such as Appia, CameronFIX, Transactools essential.
Exposure to OMS systems such as Fidessa, BRASS, Flextrader, Predator advantageous.
Should have worked with various FIX network providers such as TNS, MacGregor, NYFIX, Reuters, Bloomberg, Autex etc.
Should be able to highlight potential issues and provide solutions to Sales and Support team.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Some travel is required.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of the FIX version 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 for single and list orders.
Develop specification for new messages for developers located at offshore development centre.
Specifying test plans for developer, system testing internally with various OMS modules and conduct integrated testing with clients (Front to Back).
Debugging FIX message logs and errors.
Documenting all new connections and ensure a proper hand over for production migration.
Good understanding of UNIX and Oracle.
Others:
The success of this role will be directly determined by the number of successful FIX connections established.
Training and increasing awareness in our Sales and Dealing team for the use of FIX.
A high degree of post-connection communication with client to ensure their new needs are attended.
Testing depends on the client location and hence should be able to work in a flexible way.

Salary: Up to $100,000 plus excellent (genuine) bonuses & benefits.
